Yoga 101 INDEED!!

Well, I have so much gratitude for Michelle at Yoga 101 in Sunbury who let my husband mik and myself loose in her studio in late 2014 to try to develop this class. I called her with a concept and just wanted to try it out on an unsuspecting audience. I drew up a rough sketch of how things could go and with the briefest of rehearsals we unleashed ourselves onto the sunrise 6am class at Yoga 101. To our surprise the class really just flowed and although we continue to add and improve it really just opened a door to a whole other side to my life and experience of singing amongst people and the power of songs, music and Yoga!

It has been such a journey since then with over 1000 more classes taught and experienced, almost 1000 people touched and hugged and I can’t wait to take it to Europe and to my home of the USA. This all started very humbly in Sunbury with the generosity of both Michelle and her yoga community there to embrace us with their open hearts and the willingness to go deep and feel the truth in the words I was singing to them about their beauty.

There were many tears and so many deep, deep hugs. Everyone who came to those classes felt touched and were thankful about how much they were lifted by the class but little did they know how much they were teaching me about delivering this message and this experience. There is a little bit of everyone who has attended these classes in the current experience and I want to take this moment to say THANK YOU!

For our last class in Sunbury I made a cake (above) and we all celebrated the time we had created together and exploring our vulnerability with each other. What lovely memories I have of my dear friend Daniella Tarantello and her beauty of a daughter Emma there for my last class. And all of you, really , from the bottom of my heart I am eternally grateful for your willingness to spend the time listening to me as I formed my  structure, built my confidence and developed my voice. I will definitely come back soon when the time is right.
